How to Get Your Data for an AI Roast (Platform-by-Platform Guide)

RoastCard works by reading a screenshot of your data. The more detail in the screenshot, the more savage the roast. Here's exactly what to capture for each platform.

🎵Spotify

  1. 1At year end, screenshot your Spotify Wrapped — it's the richest data source and roasts the hardest.
  2. 2Mid-year: go to open.spotify.com in a browser, navigate to your profile, and screenshot your top artists and recently played.
  3. 3Avoid using Settings → Privacy → Download your data — it takes up to 30 days to arrive. Way too slow.
  4. 4Best screenshot: spotify.com/me showing your top artists, total listening time, and most embarrassing genre.
💡

The more specific the data, the more savage the roast. Show time played, not just song names.

📱Screen Time (iPhone)

  1. 1Open Settings → Screen Time → See All Activity.
  2. 2Tap the weekly summary bar at the top to expand it.
  3. 3Screenshot the full view showing your total daily average, top apps, and pickups.
  4. 4Best screenshot: the 'Most Used' app breakdown — it tells the full story.
💡

Android users: go to Settings → Digital Wellbeing and take the same screenshot.

Roast your Screen Time (iPhone)

🏃Strava

  1. 1Go to strava.com/athlete/training in a browser (not the app — the web view has more data).
  2. 2This shows your full training log in calendar form.
  3. 3Screenshot the view showing your weeks — especially the empty ones.
  4. 4Best angle: a month view showing the weeks you didn't run.
💡

The gaps in your training log are the roast material. Don't crop them out.

🤖Reddit

  1. 1Go to reddit.com/u/[yourusername] (your public profile page).
  2. 2Screenshot the view showing your karma total, cake day, and top posts.
  3. 3Or: navigate to your comments tab and screenshot your recent comment history.
  4. 4For a deeper roast: Settings → Data Request → download your full comments CSV (takes a few days).
💡

Your posting time patterns and subreddit distribution are the most roastable data points.

Roast your Reddit

📸Instagram

  1. 1Settings → Your Activity → Time Spent. Screenshot the daily average and top usage times.
  2. 2Or: screenshot your profile showing follower/following ratio.
  3. 3For more roast material: screenshot your Reels watch history or your 'Suggested for you' feed.
💡

The follower/following ratio screenshot is the most consistently brutal roast source.

Roast your Instagram

🔍Google Search History

  1. 1Go to myactivity.google.com in a browser.
  2. 2Filter by Search (left sidebar → Filter by date & product → Search).
  3. 3Screenshot your recent search queries — the 2am ones work best.
  4. 4Or screenshot the 'My Activity' timeline showing your most active search hours.
💡

The sequence of searches tells a story. Don't crop just one — show a few rows.

Roast your Google Search History

🏦Bank Statement / Shopping

  1. 1Open your banking app and navigate to the spending breakdown or categories view.
  2. 2Most modern banks (Monzo, Revolut, Chase, HSBC) have a monthly spend-by-category view.
  3. 3Screenshot the full category breakdown — food delivery, subscriptions, and 'miscellaneous' are the good ones.
  4. 4Or: screenshot your Amazon order history from amazon.com/gp/your-account/order-history.
💡

Blur your account number and sort code before uploading. The AI only needs the categories and amounts.

Roast your Bank Statement / Shopping

💼LinkedIn

  1. 1Screenshot your LinkedIn profile showing your connection count, job title, and how many jobs you've had in 3 years.
  2. 2Or: go to your profile → Analytics → 'Who viewed your profile' and screenshot the impressions graph.
  3. 3Best data: your endorsements section — especially the ones from people you've never met.
💡

The gap between your headline and your actual job title is where roasts are born.
